Hey neighbor, I'm Braxten!
I’m a writer and Elementary School teacher, born and raised in the Sandy/Draper area, and I am running to support you as the Democratic candidate for District 46 Utah State House of Representatives.
Like you, I am beyond frustrated with the party in power: their dereliction of decency and duty, and their endless acts of blatant, cartoonish corruption. Like you, I refuse to be told that everything is fine. Everything is not fine (not even close) and the worst part is this: those responsible for making our lives worse are still in power, and are running for reelection.
My opponent seems like a nice guy, but his record and stated priorities are copy-pasted from the same, broken, party-line playbook that got us here in the first place. He will make excuses for incompetence and inaction, I won’t. Just because I am a registered Democrat, doesn’t mean I won’t happily buck the party platform to protect my community and neighbors.
How else am I different? You won't find a donation link on my website. I am self-funding my little campaign, because I believe that money (and fundraising) has poisoned local politics. I am running to represent you, and be your public servant. I ask only for your vote.
